- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: Rainfall is a near-miracle and oil flows like water in the ancient desert kingdom of Saudi Arabia but our cameras are here to follow the progress of English doctors and specialists who have come on a goodwill mission, Long queues of Arab patients wait for treatment outside the only hospital in the capital Riyadh, a city of contrasting sights where the TV studios is the latest landmark among the maze of narrow, high-walled streets. We join the doctors to meet King Feisal and travel across vast areas of desert to see Bedouins and their unchanging way of life. See them driving goats to market and buying live desert lizards for food. And see, too, a large oasis carefully irrigated to produce root crops and a date harvest. This, indeed, is a land of too little water and too much oil.
