Summary
Pathe synopsis: It’s the devil’s work, in the Riviera or in Latin America where they give reign to the carnival excesses that all of us enjoy. The scene is Nice and it’s winter. Remember what winter can be like in England and then marvel at the mimosa contrast that there is on this sky-blue coast where, before the discipline of Lent, they eat, drink and are merry with Battles of Flowers and carnivals that go on from daytime until late into the night. Winter - with confetti scurrying through the air like snow - where the only way it signifies itself is, perhaps, with a cloud appearing in a perfect sky. Winter, in the next country to England, which you can’t recognise.
