Summary
Pathe synopsis: Another last is Roy Jay of Whitby, Yorkshire, the sole surviving craftsman of a once flourishing industry - carving in jet. Roy picks up the stone - it is a very hard coal - on the Yorkshire beaches - and works it in his attic workshop. "Jet Black" was popular in Victorian days - Roy has a fine collection of antiques - see how he fashions modern shapes from these ancient jewels of the sea.
