Summary
Pathe synopsis: Napoleon said that Britain was a nation of shopkeepers and, right or wrong, London is a market. A super-market that attracts tourists enough to boost its population by - a million people at any given time. We see street-salesmen gathering the crowds. We go to the islands or surprising peace that you find a stone’s throw from the bustle. From pageantry in the streets we see the stunts and the stars that make it a Mecca for rubbernecks. As we go we hear the songs and sounds of London and we go on a pub-crawl, meeting journalists, barrow-boys, opera stars and personalities enough to - Knock ‘em In The Old Kent Road.
