Summary
Pathe synopsis: Just after dawn every morning Rose Farrow, the shepherdess of Hutton-le-Hole - one of the prettiest villages in Yorkshire’s East Riding - rounds up the sheep that have strayed down from the moor. It’s a tough outdoor life but Rose takes it in her stride. She doesn’t think twice about grabbing a seventy-pound ram and lifting it bodily out of a ditch - a tough open-air life.
