Summary
Pathe synopsis: A gang of tough crooks quietly await the payroll-carrying car. Suddenly they strike. In a moment, cashier and driver are the victims of yet another vicious attack ... A job, you might say, for the police. True enough. But have you considered the enormous variety of jobs that add up to a policeman’s lot? Pathe Pic was invited behind the scenes - and learned to realise that policeman is a title that pays no tribute to the vast assortment of skills we encountered. Just think. A policeman is a sailor who every day patrols thirty-six miles of Thames river. He is a horseman. He is a diver. He trains dogs. He is jack of so many trades designed to weld together in the bid to save life and property. And if he isn’t always the motorist’s friend, he’s a wizard enough skid-pan driver as he excitingly demonstrates.
