Summary
Pathe synopsis: Operation Flat Earth was the title of the army exercise aimed at levelling the wild and rugged Salisbury Plain and makes an airstrip just as fast as tough training makes possible. Speed, frantic speed, called for a massive air-drop of bulldozers, tractors, rollers - every scrap of equipment required. And down came those great, billowing parachutes - an air show of blossom-white silk to speed a fantastic job.
