Summary
Pathe synopsis: A brand new London bar set us wondering. For the people who had been invited to its opening - all came dressed in the elegant styles of the naughty nineties. We wondered why there is such a fascination for the past. Why old, timbered towns like Chester always attract thousands of devoted admirers. No one really knew. Nor did they know why London’s old street lamps, now being replaced by efficient modern lighting, should be returned to their former state of glorious burnished brass and sold for many pounds for seekers of the past all over the world. So beautiful is the past that nobody cared for reasons. Or maybe beauty is the reason.
