Summary
Pathe synopsis: In flying, the accident hazards which spring to mind are collision, fire, engine failure and, more rarely, metal fatigue. A part not usually associated with disaster is tyres; to see why this is so, we visit one of the world’s largest rubber factories at Birmingham, to see some of the ingenious and spectacular tests carried out to ensure perfect safety in all conditions.
