- Pathe synopsis: A glimpse of future aeronautical development is displayed by a model ‘plane, powered only by electricity stored in silver-zinc batteries. Believed to be the first of its kind, the radio-controlled model is the invention of Colonel HJ Taplin, of Birchington, Kent, a World War I pilot turned engineer and inventor. As a sideline the Colonel builds radio-controlled model launches, too.
