Summary
Pathe synopsis: The place: a City inn opened in 1616. The dress: as befitting citizens of the Jacobean era. The menu: peacock, swan, venison and similar delicacies. The occasion: a party to celebrate the opening of the sixth Kensington Antique Dealers’ Fair. The date: 1956 - and if antique dealers can’t conjure up the atmosphere of a bygone age, nobody can.
