Summary
Pathe synopsis -The ancient Irish game of road bowling continues - in spite of a two-centuries-old British law prohibiting it as "a dangerous and revolutionary game". Heavy bets are placed on the individual competitors who pitch the bowls over a course of two or three miles. The winner is the one with the least number of throws over the distsance. Easy?...not when the "bowl" is made of crude iron! [Location is County Cork, Republic of Ireland.]
