Summary
Pathe synopsis: Tucked away in the quiet Surrey countryside is a place where the music and the instruments of a bygone age can still be heard. In these workshops Carl Dolmetsch, the famous harpsichord player, directs a team of craftsmen who spend their lives making and repairing lutes, recorders, harpsichords and spinets - in fact a whole range of those fascinating instruments which made music in the days of the first Queen Elizabeth.
