Summary
Pathe synopsis: Stanislas Idzikowski has two claims to fame - he is one of the greatest names in ballet and a superb craftsman in the art of wood carving. His home contains some exquisit scale models executed in many kinds of wood and all carved entirely by hand. The Georgian Room, for example, contains authentic Heppelwhite furniture and a model piano complete with an ivory keyboard. Laying the floor called for nearly 2,000 separate pieces of wood and the complete room took five years to assemble.
