- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Paratroops at Exercise. DESCRIPTION: Britain has been training her new parachute army with the aid of the Royal Air Force. The paratroops are volunteers from every part of the army and the training is arduous and comprehensive. SHOTLIST: The Paratroops prepare to go aloft. Officers confer. The Whitleys take off and the troops drop. Ground and aerial shots. These are easily the best we have had of British Paratroops. Slow motion shows the way the troops land. When they have landed they advance over rough country and past walls. The story was started with shots of Nazi paratroops in action against Rotterdam and the V sign (From the Victory V Song). The story ends with the sound of the song behind the troops advancing. ‘V’ sign chalked on wall.
