Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soviet Fighting Back. DESCRIPTION: In the south of Russia the veteran Cossack regiment of Marshal Budenny’s village have formed a People’s Guard. The Soviet steel mills and munitions factories continue to increase their output. SHOTLIST: 1. In Marshal Budenny’s home town a cavalry "Home Guard" unit ride past and salute the Marshal’s aged mother. 2. Boys help the War Effort by repairing damaged railway lines. 3. Women auxiliaries are addressed in Moscow before they clamber into lorries and drive away to the front. 4. Shots inside the Soviet steel mills. 5. An armoured train takes a position and opens fire on a Nazi post. 6. Dead Germans by motor-cycles and several shots of captured tanks, troops, trenches and guns. 7. German prisoners lined up. 8. Russian artillery blazes away.
