- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: An Historic Meeting. DESCRIPTION: Impressive scenes as President and Premier confer aboard ships in mid-Atlantic. Mr Churchill travelled onboard one of our newest battleships the "Prince of Wales". SHOTLIST: Mr Churchill accompanied by General Sir John Dill, Admiral of the Fleet Sir Dudley Pound, and Air Chief Marshal Sir Wilfred Freeman are seen off by Mr AV Alexander and Admiral Sir John Tovey on HMS "Prince of Wales". Out in the Atlantic the party walk the decks. Below decks - conference in progress. At the meeting place - Churchill leaves the POW for the US ship "Augusta". Churchill and President Roosevelt meet - Churchill hands Roosevelt a letter from the King. They then go into conference. President Roosevelt visits the "Prince of Wales" together with Mr Harriman, who chats with Lord Beaverbrook. Admiral Stark and Admiral King chat. General scenes of men attending the meeting including Mr Sumner Welles. An informal scene when "Whisky" the ship’s cat meets Mr Churchill. Parcels of food, cigarettes, etc. are handed to the "POW" crew by the American sailors. On Sunday church service aboard the "POW" President Roosevelt and Churchill attend. Crews from both ships. Captain Leach. Commander of the "POW" reads the lesson. Onward Christian Soldiers is sung. Afterwards - Roosevelt and Churchill have further talks.
