MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Polish Air Force Day. DESCRIPTION: Poland’s Air Force Day in Britain was marked by more than one ceremony. General Sikorski unveiled a memorial to Polish airmen and there was the ceremony of the flag. The Flag had been embroidered in secret and smuggled out of occupied Poland. SHOTLIST: General Sikorski unveils Memorial to all Polish airmen who have lost their lives in the war. Sir Charles Portal accompanies the premier on his inspection of the men. Afterwards he drives nails into the Polish standard together with other allied leaders. The flag is then handed to the bomber squad. Raczkiewicz is present (Premier). Also Air Marshal Barratt.
