Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: News From Western Desert. DESCRIPTION: A young Australian arrived in Egypt exhausted, it had taken him eight days using a tin can as a life buoy to cross from Crete. Indian troops continue to patrol the Western desert. SHOTLIST: A young Australian, one of the last to leave Crete. Artillery duels take place, and fighting in the neighbourhood of Halfaya Pass. Tanks in action, material is captured from the Nazis, Indian troops take part in this action. Among articles captured are an Anti Aircraft gun, and an armoured car.
