MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: German Ship Sunk and Prisoners. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Navy, with the aid of ‘Walrus’ reconnaissance planes, is locating and sinking Nazi supply ships. SHOTLIST: German prisoners climb down ladder into tug at Freetown, Sierra Leone. Shots in the tug. Sunset shot of Cruiser. Various shots of prisoners working on board the Cruiser. Armed merchant Cruiser over-takes convoy. Shots of two ships sinking in distance, and destroyer firing. The ships are the Esso and Hamburg. The plane "Walrus" is catapulted off. Also shots of a destroyer refuelling. Various shots of the life of a German prisoner of war. Eating, taking exercise, etc. The "Egerland" is seen on fire.
