MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Library Naval Material. DESCRIPTION: Our cameraman sails on "Renown", flagship of Admiral Somerville, on convoy duty in the Western Mediterranean. SHOTLIST: Shots aboard the battle cruiser (on bridge) "Renown". Vice Admiral Sir James Somerville is seen with Captain McGrigor. Shots of Fulmars taking off from "Ark Royal" and shots of HMS "Sheffield" (cruiser) and the flag lieutenant, Lt Com Longden. Also shots of destroyers re-fuelling which were censored and retained by the Admiralty. Shot of tramp steamers at sea. Sailors with sextants. Men looking through binoculars. CU officer looking through binoculars. CU captain with name of captain on tin helmet. Sailors with signalling lamps (cleaning?). Air Attack On "Ark Royal" (Also Called "Admiral Somerville’s Force") - CARD 40787 Shots from the Renown as bombs drop near Ark Royal while escorting a convoy. Shots in port of six sailors shaving, cleaning the ship and of the Admiral going for a row before breakfast. Shots of Fulmars taking off from Ark Royal and shots of Somerville from CARD 40721
