MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cunningham’s Victory. DESCRIPTION: A victory of Cape Matapan for the fleet under Admiral Cunningham, prompts a look back at what the Italian navy used to be. SHOTLIST: Hitler and Mussolini view the Italian Fleet and are much impressed. Various shots of British Ships. The Fleet Air Arm then cripple one of the Littorio class Battleships. RAF bombs cripple Italian destroyers. Shots of Barham, Valiant and Warspite firing 15" shells, which crashed into Italian Cruisers. Then the Battle of Cape Matapan, good shots of guns firing at night. Shot of Officers drinking to portrait of Nelson. Library shots of torpedo ravelling through water and exploding.
