- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Officers’ Hardening Course. DESCRIPTION: An officer hardening course honing all aspects of warfare for young subalterns. SHOTLIST: The young officers are shown how to defend themselves when unarmed against a soldier with rifle and bayonet. (Slow motion). They then fire trench-mortars and drive the Bren carrier. Then they have a little attack practice and charge forward bayoneting Germans as they go. Then they carry out an attack, the wire is cut, and the men advance covered by Bren fire. Stretchers are brought in and prisoners while Tommy Guns guard the return. One shot shows a notice - "Are you full of Binge?"
