MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lord Gort on the Iceland Occupation. DESCRIPTION: British and Canadian troops have been stationed on Iceland and quickly made themselves at home. SHOTLIST: Lord Gort talks and here and there the speech is illustrated and then Mitchell described the scene which has illustrated by War Office Material. General view of Reykjavik, the capital. Bren carriers at speed. Artillery manned by soldiers, sailors and marines. The soldiers chat and play football with the children. Scenes of warm springs and the soldiers enjoying them.
