Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Battle of Oran - French Fleet Bombarded. DESCRIPTION: The sorry fate of the French warships in Oran harbour occurred last July and the film has taken months to reach Britain. To prevent the French ship falling into enemy hands it became necessary for the British Navy to put them out of action. SHOTLIST: Shots of shells bursting amongst the Warships. The battleship "Bretagne" capsizes and sinks. The "Stasbourg" beats it for home with her guns blazing. Aboard the ships the French sailors work to keep the fires under control.
