Summary

The Queen Elizabeth prepared for her final voyage, but not without a last goodbye from Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. At her own request Her Majesty was taking a last look at the great liner which, 30 years before, she had launched at Clydebank. Later that night seven former masters of the Queen Elizabeth held a re-union and earned themselves a place in philatelic history when they autographed 36 commemorative envelopes stamped and franked aboard the liner during her last transatlantic voyage.
