Summary: In a week which has known so much tragedy and sadness comes one of the happiest stories of the year - a story of rags to riches. Mr and Mrs Petrus Ramoboa from the new African nation of Lesotho were in New York, and rich beyond their wildest dreams, because Mrs Ramoboa recently found a giant diamond while sifting gravel. It weighed over 600 carats. In one of Fifth Avenue’s jewellery houses, the couple collected their share of the £300,000 sale. What a happy ending.
