Summary: Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee, three heros of the space age died in the capsule which was to have taken them on a 14-day proving flight into deep space. Grissom and White had already braved space, their names were written in the annals of Space Exploration History, but Chaffee had never left Earth. Path News pay tribute to these men with pictures of their last days before disaster struck as they sat in their Apollo capsule to all intents safely on Earth.
