MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Anzac New Letter. DESCRIPTION: Australian troops stage a Bondi Beach Surf Carnival on a beach in Palestine. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the Australians in camp and learning to ride camels. They stage a surf carnival and afterwards the trophies are presented by Lt General Blamey. Shots of Captain JA Collins of HMAS "Sydney" on the bridge. Shots of the men cleaning the guns and sitting in a shell hole. Shots of Italian prisoners in hospital. Climax is provided by exceptional shots of fleet, White Ensign and men drinking to a portrait of Nelson.
