MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The King to His People. DESCRIPTION: His Majesties speech is illustrated with pictures of life going on despite the Nazi blitz. SHOTLIST: The King’s broadcast speech illustrates with shots of damage etc, some to Buckingham Palace. The main part however is about the children who were so cruelly torpedoed when they were going to safety on the Seavacuees ship "City of Benares". These references are illustrated with shots of the homecomings of the survivors.
