Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King and Bevin. DESCRIPTION: The King, accompanied by Minister of Labour Ernest Bevin, visits a Training Centre. The Queen visits a rural preserving depot, where she saw whole fruits being canned. SHOTLIST: The King pays a visit to a Government training factory. He makes a thorough tour escorted by Mr Bevin and inspects a micrometer. One very good shot shows general view of workshop. This is better lighted than any I can remember. It should be kept carefully. Queen At Preserving Centre - CARD 39462 The Queen arrives and is welcomed, she then sees the whole process from the picking to the actual sealing up in the cans.
