Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Russo-Finnish War, 1940. DESCRIPTION: The 31 ton Soviet tanks have been unsuccessful in the northern regions of Finland. SHOTLIST: In Viborg fires still rage among the ruins caused by Stalin’s bombers. Bombs are loaded onto planes which take off for unknown destinations. Women are playing an important part and among other work they tend the horses. Finnish soldiers climb trees with a most ingenious gadget. Machine guns fall into the Finns hands and tanks by the score. Men lay dead beside them and booty is carried away on sleds. Library scenes of tanks racing through Red Square on May Day.
