Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blackout Fashions at Selfridges. DESCRIPTION: For safety in the black out white is being added to clothing and hats. SHOTLIST: Shoppers look into shop windows over piles of sandbags. Inside new fashions are almost exclusively white so that the wearer may be seen better during the hours of darkness. White gas-mask containers, white belts, white handbags and white hat-bands. Dressing gowns are all in white to wear during the air raids.
