Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: QVR’s Leave Grosvenor Square. DESCRIPTION: The Territorials in Camp. SHOTLIST: On motor cycles, and lorries, Queen Victoria’s Rifles leave Grosvenor Square to go into Hyde Park watched by Lord Gort. Sir Malcolm And Terriers - CARD 37139 Captain Sir Malcolm Campbell reviews his men and then leads them on a formation run. WATS In Camp - CARD 37126 Girls collect their blankets from the Quarter Master. The Duchess of Marlborough inspects sausages, sees lorries being loaded and takes the salute at a march past. Aerial scene of camp at Tidworth Bennings. Territorial Tank Parade - CARD 37133 Colonel Fletcher inspects the tanks of his regiment and then they move off for exercises. Militiamen Curry - CARD 37131 AT Gosport, Militiamen drill and among them is Gunner Curry. He works the breech of a six-inch howitzer and then goes in to lunch. (Library scene of his leaving home, and saying farewell to his mother). After lunch he cleans his equipment.
