- Summary
- Japanese ammunition ship is discovered disguised as a hospital ship. The fifteen hundred Japanese soldiers on board were listed as patients and the ammunition was labelled "medical supplies". General MacArthur reviewing veterans of the Pacific fighting to whom he personally announced the end of the war. Admiral "Bull" Halsey and British Admiral Rawlings at a ceremony where Halsey cuts a cake which has a Japanese flag design, with a bayonet. Japanese troops arrive at a POW camp, mostly suffering from starvation. With them are Chinese "comfort girls" who during captivity were forced to accompany the Japanese troops.
