Snow bound aerodrome makes the Western front look like the Eastern front and Thunderbolt plane landing overruns on the icy runway and crashes into another Thunderbolt. British troops converge on Cleve on the north of the Siegfried Line. Fierce fighting takes place as Cleve and other cities like have been transformed into bastions of the German defence system. The men who directed the operation Field Marshal Montgomery and General Crerar of the 1st Canadian Army are seen on the outskirts of Cleve. British troops enter the city and street fighting in progress. German prisoners are taken and at last the city falls into allied hands.
