- Summary
- On the Bastogne highway, MPs scrutinise identity cards of fleeing refugees, for infiltrating Germans. Vehicles pass through the ruined town of Malmedy. RAF bombers take advantage of the good weather and hit the German lines of communication and supply. Railway marshalling yards at Munchen Gladbach get the same treatment from RAF heavy bombers. C47 planes dropping supplies to the besieged American 101st Airborne Division at Bastogne. Men of the Task Force "Hogan" refused to surrender and when their supplies had gone, blackened their faces and walked 14 miles back through the enemy lines on Christmas night.
