- American troops enter devastated German town of Hurtgen. One negro soldier limps past camera suffering from "Trench Feet". They eat a long-awaited meal. A jeep races through the town of Linnich to escape shells and a tank backs up a side street to avoid enemy air observation. Church steeple collapses after being hit by shell fire.
