Summary
The planning and operation of the famous Amiens Prison bombing in order to affect the escape of 100 resistance prisoners. Mosquitoes are bombed up and the leader of the mission Group Captain Pickard is seen. (He was not to return from the flight). The planes take off and cross the Channel, escorted by Typhoons. Aerial shots of the prison after it has been bombed. The walls were breached and only the prison guards’ quarters were demolished. The pilot said he could see men running through a large hole where the wall has been breached. Said to be one of the most difficult operations of the war, another brilliant success for the RAF.
