- Summary
- The seaport town of Ancona on the Adriatic shows the heavy bombing which it undertook from allied aircraft. The station and surrounding railway yards are bombed out of all recognition. Brazilian soldiers who are now serving with the American Army are seen arriving at Naples, and being greeted by General Devers. Secretly photographed pictures of the Germans retreating out of Rome are released. Although taken in June the film is still of interest. In the hills outside Rome Italian widows come to mourn over graves of civilians massacred by German army units. Rome under allied occupation sees the Pope making speech in Audience Hall of the Vatican to allied troops.
