- France under German rule. German soldiers are to be seen everywhere in Paris - famous landmarks fly the German flag and column of soldiers marches down the Champs Elysee. A hospital ship arriving in America bringing back a few people released by the Germans, one of whom is a US correspondent Ralf Heinzer and he speaks of the underground workers in France. Film taken by the Maquis (French underground movement) shows printing press in operation and a pamphlet telling of the work of the Maquis, German poster on wall being defaced, life in a normal French town, and the Maquis in training somewhere in the country. (Part of the commentary is by the French actress Francoise Rosay).
