MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour of Canada. DESCRIPTION: The King and Queen in Toronto, Winnipeg and Regina. SHOTLIST: Toronto - GV Royal Train. LS King & Queen alight from back of train. MS King & Queen of balcony. GV K&Q in open car (x2). MS Queen leans over to talk to ex-servicemen. LS on campus of Toronto University. Queen inspects Toronto Scottish. LS Queen presents new colours to the Regiment. LS 3 cheers given (SOF). LS K&Q arrive in open carriage at Woodbine Race-course for the ‘King’s Plate’. MS Queen followed by King up steps to Royal Box. CU Queen. MS Royal Couple. LS Royal Couple in box. Pan with "Archworth" leading the field in King’s Plate. LAS Queen with binoculars. GV "Archworth" pass winning post. GV King presents Cup to winning owner Mr McCullagh. Winnipeg - GV Royal Car and escort along street in rain. MS Queen is presented with a bouquet. Fort Garry - LS K&Q on dais. Pan across crowd. MS King is presented with two beaver skins the traditional rent paid by the Hudson’s Bay Company. Regina - GV Mounties ride in front of Royal Car. MS Royal Canadian Mounted Police stand to attention along road. CU face of a Mountie. GV Mounties on horse back. MS Commissioner Wood of Royal Canadian Mounted Police with King (who is in Naval Uniform) & Queen (x2). MS K&Q drive away in open car.
