- History
- Moslems in Britain was a short-lived black and white series made by United Motion Pictures (London) Ltd for the Central Office of Information and sponsored by the Foreign Office. The first two films, MANCHESTER and CARDIFF, were presented in Arabic by Gamal Kinay and featured interviews with both Muslim women and men about their lives in Britain. Shooting scripts for a further two films on Liverpool and Sheffield were commissioned in October 1961 but neither went any further. A more thematic approach was adopted with PLACES and PEOPLE, the final two films in the series, released in 1964.
