- Previously known as Rhodesian Spotlight until issue number 87, Federal Spotlight was a cinemagazine produced by the Central African Film Unit and distributed within the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland. In April 1963, it changed its name again to Spotlight. The Spotlight series were basically designed to promote the Federation both at home and abroad through a topical mix of stories and was generally regarded as the most important activity of the unit from the mid 1950s.
