Career
Sid Randall was an engineer and cameraman who provided footage for ‘THE KING COMES HOME’ in Pathe News No.52/14 of February 1952. He was afterwards included in a number of Pathe camera teams, covering such events as ‘ROYAL ASCOT’ in Pathe News No.53/46 of June 1953, and ‘NOT-SO-GLORIOUS GOODWOOD’ in No.54/59 of August 1954. Randall’s first solo credit was for ‘MANNY MERCER MARRIES’ in No.55/95 of November 1955. He appeared in ‘What of 1958?' in Pathe News No.57/104 of December 1957, working at a lathe and credited as a ‘camera engineer.' Randall also appeared in the Pathe camera team that filmed ‘THE ROYAL WEDDING’ for Pathe News No.60/38 in May 1960, and was in a comic item entitled ‘HOW WEATHER FORECASTS ARE COMPILED’ in Pathe News No.68/5 of January 1968, posing as a ‘weather expert.'
