Notes
The May 1960 story refers to the same cameraman as both ‘Jones’ and ‘Shaw-Jones.'

Career

In February 1952 a cameraman named Jones was credited in the team that filmed ‘FUNERAL OF HIS MAJESTY KING GEORGE VI’ for British Movietone News No.1185. This was probably the cameraman who was afterwards credited for a number of Movietone stories as Shaw-Jones. He was credited with ‘CARDIFF v. LEEDS UNITED’ in British Movietone News No.1196A of May 1952, and was also in the camera team for ‘THE CORONATION’ in No.1252A of June 1953, where he was stationed at the Queen Victoria Memorial. In May 1954 Shaw-Jones was in the team for ‘ROYAL TOUR ‘WELCOME HOME’' in No.1302, and in June 1960 he filmed ‘TRANS-ATLANTIC SINGLE-HANDED’ for No.1619.

He joined Mining Review in 1953 as second director and cameraman.
