Career
Fowler was a cutter with Pathe from at least 1952, but his first surviving credit is for Pathe News No.56/4 of January 1956. In September 1957 Fowler was featured in ‘INFLATION - STOP IT OR ELSE’ in Pathe News No.57/74, speaking to Stewart Farrar [qv] in a bar about the national debt and saying ‘So what, my Uncle Charlie went bankrupt and made ruddy good out of it.' The same story featured Vic Graham [qv]. Fowler cut almost two hundred stories, but the main run of credits finishes with No.56/103 of December 1956. He reappeared to cut ‘THE ROYAL WEDDING’ in No.60/38 of May 1960, working with Bob Risk [qv] and Norman Roper [qv].
