Brian Cobby

Brian Cobby was the commentator for Colour Pictorial between 1959 and 1962. His first credit is ‘ROBOT GARDENING’ in Colour Pictorial No.236 of July 1959. Others include ‘VICTORIAN FISH BAR’ in Colour Pictorial No.399 of August 1962, and ‘INDIAN AIR HOSTESSES’ in Colour Pictorial No.405 of October 1962. His last credit is ‘CANARY ISLANDS’ in Colour Pictorial No. 410 of November 1962. From this point he seems to have provided the commentary on a regular basis for Roundabout (1962-1974) , a technicolor cinemagazine made by Associated British Pathe for the Central Office of Information (COI). One of his earliest credits for this series is ‘AUSTRALIAN RODEO’, Roundabout No.17 of October 1963. He was also a regular commentator for another COI colour cinemagazine Parade (1963-1973), including the first issue released in March 1963.
