Career
The Brewers’ Society was formed in 1904 as a result of the amalgamation of the Country Brewers’ Society, the London Brewers’ Society and the Burton Brewers’ Society. Its aim is to promote the interest of the brewing trade. On the 24 September 2001 the Brewers and Licensed Retailers Association (BLRA) changed its name to the British Beer and Pub Association.
In November 1974, the Brewers’ Society sponsored an issue of Review, entitled ‘BEHIND THE BREW’, Review 28th Year No.3, which profiled the work of the Brewing Industry’s Research Foundation. This was the society’s only foray into cinemagazines.
