An online database of over 600 entries from the Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA). The portal is designed to provide academics, archivists, artists, curators, educators, exhibitors, filmmakers, programmers, researchers and students with a centralised means of discovery - interconnecting moving image catalogues, services, resources, websites and related information. The database can be searched by organisation, country, genres and type of material. Typically the information given is contact details, a summary of the collection, and the URL. The information is supplied by the institution itself and so necessarily the amount of detail on individual collections is uneven. The site is managed and maintained largely by volunteers and may be slow to update.

The main sections are: Background to the Conflict; Key Events; Key Issues, Databases and Bibliographies, Northern Ireland Society and Conflict Studies. The films section lists films with ‘the Troubles’ as the theme. There is also video footage of a selection of Physical Memorials in public spaces. The European Children’s Film Network is a database service offered by ECFA (European Children’s Film Association). The databases are intended as sources of information on European high-quality films for children and young people in order to help to improve their distribution and the marketing. The website was started in 1999, covering most films for children that were produced in European countries since that year, including some films that were produced a few years earlier, but appeared at festivals or in distributions in 1999 or later. The database gives title (and titles in other languages), production country, running time, director, synopsis and festivals where it has been screened.

A visually incoherent site (a consequence of downloading text direct from other sites) which brings together an impressive amount of information from numerous sources documenting the life and work of the Irish playwright and novelist. The site lists online texts, literature festivals and events, reviews, articles, and other websites and blogs devoted to Beckett. There are audio and film and television sections which indicate when a recording or broadcast is available commercially on CD or DVD (a warning that these are not always up to date) The site also records material available in other countries and in other languages. A small number of titles are streamed.

The Prisons Memory Archive has recorded 175 interviews and walk-and-talk recordings with those who passed through Armagh Gaol, the Maze and Long Kesh Prison during the 30 years of the violent conflict about the constitutional status of Northern Ireland. The range of participants in the PMA includes prison staff, prisoners, visitors, teachers, chaplains and probation officers. The testimonies have been grouped by theme to aid navigation e.g. release, education, coping, visits. The PMA is an ongoing project and new interviews are being added to the site. The website also provides a filmography of feature films and documentaries which deal with prisoners’ experiences.
